Tässä pieni jouluaskarteluprojekti vielä viime hetkiin ennen aattoa. Leikkaa paperista sydämen muotoinen malli. Kiinnitä se askarteluhuovan päälle muutamalla nuppineulalla ja leikkaa kutakin koristetta kohti kaksi sydänpalaa. Leikkaa myös n. cm levyiset n. 8cm pituiset suikaleet ripustuslenkeiksi. Ompele kirjontalangalla etupuolelle tuleviin sydämiin lumihiutaleet. Aseta kaksi sydäntä päällekkäin (oikeat puolet ulospäin) ja ompele ompelukoneella 5mm päästä reunasta sydän kiinni. Muista lisätä se ripustuslenkki ja laita hiukan vanua täytteeksi kun reunaa on enää pari kolme senttiä auki. Neulaa ei kannata irrottaa kankaasta, mutta paininjalkaa nostamalla saa sormella työnnettyä pienen tupon vanua sydämen sisään. Itse aloitin ompelun alakulmasta.
Tarvitsin juuri tämän sävyisiä punaisia sydämiä joulukuuseen tänä vuonna, mutta mietin, että ne näyttäisivät varmasti kauniilta myös harmaina tai luonnonvalkoisinakin.

This is a little DIY project just for the last days before Christmas. Cut a piece of paper to a shape of a heart. Attach the paper heart with few pins on felt and cut always two hearts for each ornament. Cut also retangular pieces (1x8cm) for making loops for hanging the ornaments. Stitch snowflakes with white embroidery thread on the front. Attach two felt hearts together (right side out) and use a sewing machine to stitch the pieces together (without forgetting the loop) somethingn like 5mm from the edge. I started sewing from the bottom and when I had made almost the entire round and had perhaps only 3cm opening left, I stuffed the heart with bit of wool and continued by sewing it closed.
I needed couple of ornaments in this color for the tree, but I could imagine that gray felt with white snowflake or even off-white felt with red snowflake might look nice, too.
