Koko kesäkuun ajan on ollut ihan ihana sää! Kyllä viileästä lämpimään ja harmaasta aurinkoiseen on huomattavasti helpompi siirtyä kuin toisin päin. Seurailin puistopuutarhureiden touhuja viime viikolla ja huomasin, että he jättivät nurmikkoa ajaessaan puolivillinä kukkivat kesäkukat leikkamatta niissä kohdissa, joissa keväisin kukkivat narsissit. Hyvä idea antaa narsissien varsille enemmän aikaa kuolla. Nehän näyttävät aina aika surkeilta lojuessaan puoliksi ruskeina maassa. Nyt niitä varsia ei niittykukkien seasta edes huomaa, ja nurmikko on ympäriltä ihan siisti. Minun mielestäni siinä on nyt juuri optimaalinen määrä "villiä luontoa"... ;-)

This June has surprised me with beautiful weather! It's so much easier to move from cold to warm and from gray to sunny than other way around, isn't it? I was observing the gardeners last week and noticed that they mowed the grass, but left the (almost) wild daisies growing in the places where there are daffodils during the spring. I thought it a good idea to allow bit more time for the daffodils to die completely without compromising the looks. The grass is now cut beautifully, but the flowers give an appearance of a wild nature. I'd say it is just an optimal amount of the wild to my taste... ;-)
