Lisää ystävänpäivästä - More of the Valentine's

Meillä on tapana keksiä toisillemme aina jotakin pientä yllätystä ystävänpäiväaamuksi.

We have a family habit of getting some small surprises for each other on the Valentine's Day morning. I was happy to manage to get to the supermarket the evening before. That was a good reason for some happiness, because I had spent almost the entire week inside first having a stomach flu myself and then playing a nurse for my daughter who got a regular flu with plenty of fever, etc. I was lucky, because though shopping at the last moment, there were few cute Valentine's sweets left in the shelf. Chocolate heart for our daughter, some marzipan for my husband... In the morning there was a pretty decoration magazine with a heart-shaped note waiting for me at the table. Surprises area always wonderful, but the family is the best. In one of the Downton Abbey episodes one of the main characters described his feeling of happiness by saying something like: "I feel like I would have swallowed a box of fireworks!"
