Turkoosia - Turquoise

Viime viikolla siis vaaleanpunaisen siirtyessä yläkertaan, laitoin olohuoneeseen turkoosia ja hiukan harmaata, pellavaa ja tummaa sinistä. En ole vielä valmis siirtymään sisällä syksyisiin väreihin, joten sen aikaa kun vielä aurinkoa ja lämpöä riittää katsellaan toistaiseksi turkoosia. Alempi kuva taas sanoo tämän hetkisestä työrupeamasta kaiken olennaisen. Vietän aikaani kirkkohistorian parissa ja kirkkoisien (suurimmaksi osaksi) hyvässä seurassa. Vaikka nyt Athanasios Aleksandrialainen, joka kirjoitti 300-luvulla: "Vapahtajan ihmiseksi syntymän tulokset ovat niin monet, että häntä, joka yrittää luetella niitä pitäisi verrata henkilöön, joka katsoo meren valtavuutta ja yrittää laskea sen aaltoja."

Lasten koulut alkoivat tänään, joten koko maa on taas tutussa perusrytmissään. Sana 'perusrytmi' siitä, että täällä kaikki koulut alkavat ja loppuvat melkein minuutilleen samaan aikaan, eikä kuten Suomessa, jossa lukujärjestykset voivat olla hyvinkin erilaisia eri luokilla. Räpsin aamulla kouluunlähtijästä valokuvia, kuten joka vuosi ensimmäisenä kouluaamuna. Joskus tulevaisuudessa on kiva katsella niitä kuvia.

Last week when everything in pink had to move upstairs, I covered the cushions in the living room in turquoise, and bit of gray, linen and dark blue. I am not yet ready to get warmer colors inside, so, as long as the sun shines and it still seems warm turquoise may stay. The book photo says the essential about my work at the moment. I am still dwelling in the church history and good company of the church fathers, most of whom I quite like. E.g. Athanasius of Alexandria from the 4th century wrote: "The results of the incarnation of the Savior are such and so many, that anyone attempting to enumerate them should be compared to a person looking upon the vastness of the sea and attempting to count its waves."

The schools started today, so the entire country has returned to its basic rhythm. The word 'rhythm,' because here all the schools have approximately the same working hours without depending on the age of the children. Like every year on the first day of school, I made some photos of our daughter this morning. It will be fun to look at those pictures in the future.
