Tukholman paras puoli kauniiden vanhojen rakennusten lisäksi on minun mielestäni meren läheisyys. Hop on hop off -laivat eivät olleet edes hinnalla pilattuja. Tulee halvemmaksikin tietysti.
I my opinion the best part of Stockholm (besides the pretty old buildings) is the sea. What a great idea it was to build a city on the islands. It was wonderful to sit at the shore and observe the white boats passing by. Hop on hop off - tourist boats were not even too expensive. The dinner ships in turn were rather pricey. We have a habit to walk everywhere, so we ended up choosing not to take any boat. Walking is so practical. The feet will stop exactly at the spot where one sees something special, a pretty scene to photograph, or anything else that seems interesting. With the tourist rounds one must tolerate the stops that somebody else selected. We don't like that part. We rather decide by ourselves what we find beautiful. Couple of times we have done an exception to the rule, but we were never quite content with what we saw. I guess we better keep walking. Happy tourists are better than crumbling ones. Besides it's also cheaper to walk.
