The inevitable

Tätä vauhtia meillä on kohta varmaan joulukuusi olohuoneessa jo ennen joulukuun alkua.

I confess that in the end of October before leaving to Finland I had already bought a nativity set. My excuse is that it was antique and so beautifylly painted that I just could not say no. I brought the set immediately to a basement though, because even for a Christmas freak like me, the end of October is too early to display the nativity set! At the airport then, on our way home, I purchased two Christmas editions of Swedish decoration magazines just to make sure I have something good to read in the next few weeks.

Last week I happened to go to a garden shop. I had not yet replaced my summer plants at the balcony, so it was time to find some evergreen plants for outdoors. I quickly found everything I needed, but then on the way to the cash I had to pass by their Christmas decoration section. I'm sure there would have been a short cut available, but hey, there were four rooms of Christmas stuff in different colours! I only peeked to the red area and saw immediately these glass cars with a Christmas tree on the top! Who could have resisted them? Anyway, two of them go perfectly with tree ornaments that I already have. I was clearly being very moderate.

Then I happened to go to another shop and saw a cute box of Christmas matches....

If I continue like this, we might have a Christmas tree in the living room before December begins. I better put the breaks on myself for some more weeks. Otherwise I will be decorating for Easter at December 24.
