Muistatte ehkä, että joulukuun ensimmäisenä tytön joulukalenterista tuli vahingossa ikkunatarrojen sijaan niitä lumihiutaleen mallisia sisustustarroja. Suunnitelma B oli tämä. Vanha suuri maljakko tai lyhty, miksi sitä nyt haluaakin kutsua, sopi tarkoitukseen hyvin. Kaikki tarrat mahtuivat siihen hyvin. Pohjalle rakeista suolaa ja täkäläistä perinteisiin vohveleihin tarkoitettua jättiraesokeria... Niillä pärjää kätevästi, jos ei ole muistanut ostaa koristehiekkaa/kiviä. Tykkään tietysti niiden kirkkaan valkoisesta väristä myös. Sitten kynttilä kaipasi vain rusettia ja koko komeus oli valmis. Nyt se on ollut muutaman päivän tuossa hedelmäkorin vieressä, koska aamuisin aikaisin töitä aloittaessa on kiva poltella kynttilää. Mutta lyhdyn oikea paikka (ei kai meillä oikeasti millään tavaralla ole "oikeaa" paikkaa, kun ainahan minä kantelen tavaroita ympäriinsä?) on pianon päällä. Siellä kynttilän liekki heijastaa ihanasti noista lumihiutaleista suuria hiutalevarjoja seinään! Että ihan hyvin kävi tälle suunnitelma B:lle.

You might remember that on December 1 we had immediately bit of a hassle with the advent calendar. Instead of window stickers the first present contained by accident indoor decoration stickers. The plan B for repurposing them was this one. Old glas vase was almost made for some stickers. We filled the bottom with coarse salt and huge Belgian sugar pearls... Those are actually rather functional for decoration purposes if you have forgotten to buy sand. I like it that they are so pristine WHITE. Then we only needed some ribbon for the candle. Now I have enjoyed having it on the dinner table for the last few days. Currently I namely do most of my work right there and starting early, when it's still so dark, the candle light is quite a comforting element. The actual place where the candle vase belongs to (do we have actual places for anything actually, because I keep regularly moving everything???) is on the top of the piano. There it looks quite incredible, because the candle light makes the stickers throw big snow flake shadows on the wall! Thus, the plan B turned out to be just fine.
