The end of term

Tällä viikolla pidetään töissä viimeiset luennot. Yleensä minulla on tapana viedä viimeisellä viikolla opiskelijoille jotakin herkkua mukana. :)

This week is the last week of lectures this year. Usually I try to bring to the students something to eat during the lectures in the last week. This time my husband picked up some warm chocolate croissants on the way to work and brought them to my class. The downside of the bakery products is that one needs to organize the pick-up for the morning, but baking is not much easier unless it's something that can be made the day before, be served within seconds and be eaten with a napkin only. Where the bakery pastries score high, is that they can be eaten straight out of the paper bag. :D At this point we are usually in a hurry with the rest of the lecture material so much time can't be devoted to the extra things. Anyway, it's a fun tradition to maintain. During the last week it always cheers everybody up a little. :)
