A sneak peak and some Christmas inspiration for those who love to sew and stitch

Pieni sneak peak eilisillan askarteluun. Etsin netistä varjokuvia poroista, suurensin niitä sopivasti ja tulostin ne. Seuraavaksi leikkasin kuvat sabloonoiksi, tupsuttelin kankaaseen kevyesti mustaa kangasväriä... Sen verran vinkkiä tässä vaiheessa, että mustan värin kanssa saa olla tarkkana, ellei halua ihan pikimustaa lopputulosta. "Tuputussieneksi" käy tavallisen (käyttämättömän) tiskaussienen vaahtopuoli.

Just a little sneak peak to my DIY yesterday evening. I looked for drawings of deer shadows in the internet, enlarged them appropriately and printed them. Then I cut the pictures out to make stencils and used a sponge with some black textile paint... Two little tips at this point: One needs to be careful when using black paint unless one is attempting to get a pitch black end result! For the sponge, just a regular (unused) kitchen sponge will do. Its soft side works fine for stenciling.
