Belgialaiset polut - Belgian paths

Tällä viikolla sää tuntuu hiukan muuttuneen. Vaikka vieläkin on reilut 15 astetta lämmintä, ilmassa on jotenkin talvinen tuntu. :)

Mun lenkkimaastot ovat kyllä vailla vertaa. Tuossa ensimmäisessä valokuvassa on oikeassa laidassa maissia.

This week the weather seems to be shifting toward a winter season. We still have around 15 Celsius degrees, but the air just feels different. No, there is no hope of any real winter during the next few weeks, but nevertheless, leaves have began falling and wind blows harder than during the summer. And sure, it rains more again. We have not yet needed to turn heating on at home, but that won't take long any more. I better show you these photos before all these trees will stand there without any leaves... :)

My walking paths are quite pretty, aren't they? I love the corn fields (the first photo), because they change the entire view once they are grown tall. Once the corn is harvested, the entire landscape changes and suddenly you wonder how far you can actually see. That's one of those things in nature that makes me happy every year. It's my personal corn mystery, feeling cosy and protected by the tall corn in the early fall and then happily surprised when open fields provide a new perspective. I like to think that it's bit like life. There are seasons when one can enjoy just seeing close and feel protected by the smallness of it all, but then one needs also moments to see further, to gain perspective and dream big. Both seasons are equally important and one can't have one without another. Only when one sees close enough, one is able to concentrate fully on the essential at hand. And only when one sees far enough, one can understand how one is connected to the big picture.
