Alkukesästä täällä satoi niin kamalasti, että parvekekukilla oli aika huonot oltavat. Laventelin kukinnalle kävi kehnosti, vaikka se edelleen elossa onkin. Hortensia taas muutti lehtien väriä jo kesän puolivälissä. Kukat onneksi suostuivat kukkimaan kaikesta huolimatta. Huonoa tuuria siis parvekeistutusten kanssa tänä vuonna. Aika huono tuuri on kyllä ollut parvekekalustuksenkin suhteen. Olemme jo muutaman vuoden suunnitelleet ostaa uuden kalustuksen parvekkeelle, kun vanhat huonekalut alkavat hajota alle, mutta toistaiseksi ainakaan mitään kivaa ei ole tullut vastaan. Mikään ei silti voita kupillista teetä parvekkeella silloin, kun aurinko paistaa.

It was raining so much in the beginning of the summer that the balcony plants had it quite tough. Lavender didn't bloom properly, but survived somehow. Hydrangea changed the colour of the leaves already in the middle of the summer. I was happy to see that it finally decided to bloom in spite of the contiuous rain. Besides the plants we have also had rather bad luck with the balcony furniture. The old ones are slowly but surely breaking apart, but we have not found anything we'd like to buy to replace the old pieces. Yet, nothing is better than a cup of tea at the balcony when the sun is shining.
