Ehdinkin jo esitellä omat ihanat villasukkani. Tässä tytön toiset sukat. Ihanat nämäkin, eikö vaan? Tykkään tosi paljon tästäkin kuviosta. Pituutta on tytölle melkein puolen sääreen. Siitä tuli mieleen, että lauantai-iltana kävimme kenkäkaupoissa etsimässä talvisaappaita. Tarkoitus oli löytää uudet saappaat meille molemmille, mutta sitten reissu rajoittui pelkkien lastenosastojen kiertelyyn. Molemmilla on sama ongelma (liian kapeat sääret), joten on ihan sattumaa, jos löytyy yksikään sopiva kenkäpari, vaikka valikoima kaupoissa olisi kuinka laaja. Jossakin kohtaa alkaa sovittelu kyllästyttää niin paljon, että sitä lähtee kotiin ostamatta yhtään mitään. Ja vielä sekin, että lasten talvisaappaat maksavat yhtä paljon kuin aikuisten, jos ne on tehty nahasta. Muuta ei oikein voi harkitakaan, koska koulussa pidetään kengät jalassa seitsemän tuntia putkeen. Etsiminen jatkukoon. Kyllä ne sopivat vielä jostakin löytyvät... meille molemmille.

I already showed you my new wool socks. These socks are for my daughter. So pretty, aren't they? I love this pattern, too. Also the length is perfect! That reminded me that on Saturday we had a plan to find winter boots for both of us. Finally it turned out that alone going through the selection in the children's departments was frustrating enough... We both have the same problem, both have very thin legs. You could almost call it a happy accident if you ever find easily one pair of boots that fit. And no, finding the fitting boots is not guaranteed even in the biggest possible shoe shop. At some point one gets so frustrated that one decides to postpone buying the boots... This year I also found out that the prices have gone up. Leather boots for kids cost the same than they do for adults. Some other materials are virtually unthinkable, because the kids have to wear shoes at school for seven hours every day. Well, we go on searching. The perfect winter boots must be somewhere out there... for both of us.
