Mosaic!!!

Now I got a good start for one idea I have been planning for a while! I found a wooden mosaic table top at the local second hand shop. It is just perfect to go along with the idea I have in mind. The mosaic forms a slightly psychedelic sea of cubes, but you'll see what comes out of it!

Transporting the table top seemed to turn bit complicated matter. I hoped to buy only the top and leave the rest of the table to the shop, but the workers said that I have to take it all. Recycling costs here quite a bit, so even if I paid the full price or even something extra, they did not yield, because it did not seem beneficial to their business. Finally, I asked them to break the rest of the table into pieces, so that I could manage to transport it easily... and brought it straight to the fire place at work. It was perfect timing, because there is a BBQ and bonfire scheduled this week and few more pieces of wood will not make any difference to that huge heap that will be needed...

Once at home, I had to clue few wood pieces properly. A great start for a great DIY project! As I was clueing the pieces, I just couldn't help dreaming about such a wooden floor... How wonderful would that look like!!!
