DIY Jouluviltti - DIY A Christmas throw

My Christmas throw has been in the process for quite many weeks by now. It has been an extra slow project, because I decided to recycle material mainly from old shirts, kitchen towels, pillow cases and use just few pieces of new material. A good thing was that this time I had put aside few things that had got permanent stains. Usually I throw such stuff immediately away, but those pieces of thick cotton are actually just fine for patchwork, because you can easily cut out good pieces by simply avoiding the stained spots. Finally last weekend I had enough of pieces ready and could sew the cover together. Now I still have to work on some hand stiching and edges... Let's see whether it will get ready before Christmas! This week there's more work than hours in the calendar, but hey, at least I am trying...
